[May, 2025] Shandong YINO Bio-Group, a leading innovator in bio-based raw materials, has joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world's largest sustainability initiative. By aligning with the UNGC’s Ten Principles in human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, YINO Bio-Group reaffirms its commitment to the vision of “Greening Our Practices, Preserving Our Planet.” This milestone not only marks a significant step in YINO Bio-Group’s internationalization and globalization journey but also reflects international recognition of its relentless efforts in advancing sustainable development.
The UNGC, under the United Nations Secretariat, unites over 24,000 businesses and stakeholders across 170 countries, fostering a universal framework for global sustainable growth through policy dialogue, capacity building, industry standards, and cross-sector collaboration. Within this platform, YINO Bio-Group will expand international cooperation, aligning with sustainability pioneers to address global environmental and developmental challenges.
I. Structured Governance:
To ensure systematic implementation of its sustainability strategy, YINO Bio-Group has established a Sustainability Steering Committee chaired by the CEO, covering four governance modules: employee welfare, environmental protection, ethical governance, and green procurement. Supported by this framework, we has also formulated clear sustainability policies to achieve phased goals, including:
- Climate change response and carbon neutrality roadmap
- Water conservation and reuse
- Chemical and waste management standards
- Pollutant emission control and technological upgrades
- Customer health and product safety
- Green design and lifecycle management
This structured governance framework integrates sustainability across all processes, enabling end-to-end responsible practices.
II. Aligning with UN SDGs: Global Responsibility in Action

As a UNGC member, YINO Bio-Group has embedded the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its R&D, production, management, and value chain development. Through systematic planning and action, we actively aligns with core SDG targets. For example:
- Utilizing biomass boiler technology to convert waste residues into steam and electricity, powering its facilities and neighboring industrial parks, enabling energy self-sufficiency and clean energy adoption.
- Establishing a green circular chemical plant with advanced waste treatment facilities, ensuring 100% compliance in wastewater, emissions, and noise control through real-time digital monitoring.
From raw material selection to production, packaging, and transportation, YINO adheres to international environmental standards. Its processes employ non-polluting catalysts, optimize reaction efficiency, and minimize waste. Innovations like furfural and tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol provide sustainable solutions for agriculture and pharmaceuticals. Additionally, we follows a "cradle-to-gate" carbon footprint management approach, streamlining logistics and energy efficiency to achieve net-zero emissions. It actively responds to climate change through carbon management, clean energy adoption, and green supply chain development, advancing its "dual-carbon" strategy and carbon neutrality roadmap.
Through the UNGC platform, YINO will collaborate with upstream and downstream partners to build a green ecosystem, fostering cross-border cooperation and technological innovation.
III. Innovation-Driven Growth: Global Recognition
From its technological roots to global acclaim, YINO Bio-Group champions innovation as the core driver of sustainability. Leveraging non-food bio-based technology, it has built a closed-loop supply chain using corncob-based raw materials, producing bio-based solvents and additives for agriculture, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and more—effectively reducing industry carbon footprints. Our efforts have earned international recognition: In May 2025, YINO achieved a Bronze EcoVadis rating with a score of 65, ranking among the top 22% of assessed companies globally. This reflects its excellence in environment, labor, human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, underscoring its influence in global supply chains.
IV. Moving Forward: A Shared Sustainability Commitment
The fertile lands of western Shandong nurture green biomaterials, while the city of Shenxian bears witness to YINO’s sustainable journey. ESG is not just a corporate responsibility but a compass for industry-wide sustainability. Rooted in China, YINO strides toward the future—every corncob embodies the earth’s vitality, and every drop of its products echoes the gifts of Shandong’s soil. Over 4.6 billion years, Earth evolved its "green code"; YINO, in 16 years, deciphers a sustainable future. YINO Bio-Group will leverage its UNGC membership to refine its "management-technology-partnership" sustainability model, uphold the Ten Principles, and collaborate with global partners to advance sustainable development — contributing China’s corporate strength to a fairer, greener world.
Coexisting with the Earth, Flourishing in Green.
